Finite Element Method Simulation and Comparison of a Segmented-PM Motor and a Whole-PM motor
A permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) with rotor embedded segmented permanent magnet was analyzed. The structural features and flux weakening principle are introduced. The shape of the rotor is optimized to get a sinusoidal air gap magnetic density waveform and reduce the toque ripple. The whole-permanent-magnet (PM) motor and the segmented-permanent-magnet motor are compared from the asp...
متن کاملAnalysis of Single Coil PM-BLDC Motor
The aim of the paper is FEM analysis of single coil BLDC motor operated as drive of small piston pump. The paper contains analysis of design, distribution of magnetic field, forces and torque under static and dynamic conditions. Voltages, currents, signals waveforms are also given as the results of analysis. The cogging torque and total torque are discussed in the paper.
متن کاملInfluence of Design Parameters on the Starting Torque of a Single-Phase PM Brushless DC Motor
The starting torque of a single-phase permanent magnet brushless dc motor is investigated, for both radial and parallel magnetization. Finite element analysis is used to assess the relative merits of alternative methods of introducing the required airgap asymmetry, viz. tapered airgap, stepped airgap, asymmetric airgap, and slotted teeth. The predicted results are validated experimentally.
متن کاملCerebral Palsy: Motor Types, Gross Motor Function and Associated Disorders
Objectives: Cerebral palsy (CP) describes a group of disorders in the development of movement and posture in the developing brain. The main aim of this study was to determine the distribution of motor impairment and associated disorders in a population of children with CP. Methods: This study was carried out in 2011 during three months, on 200 CP children. Multiple sources of ascertainment w...
متن کاملEfficiency Improvement of PM Disc Motor Using Genetic Algorithm
Design optimisation of electrical machines, in particular permanent magnet synchronous disc motors, is very important, but quite a complicated problem. A reasonably simplified form of the design procedure may be attacked by various approaches accumulated into two main topics; classical optimisation techniques (deterministic methods) or genetic algorithms (stochastic methods). Genetic algorithm ...
